We all want whatever we are looking for to be easy to find. If any of you grew up like I did, I completely understand! Story time: I have a wonderful father who decided that anytime I would ask a question about a word or anything, I would have to go into the study, find the book it was in, and then find the answer myself. "Go look it up" was a phrase spoken many times in my household; along with "firewood" but that is a story for another time. Essentially my dad played reverse Ai or reverse ChatGPT with me far too many times to count.

Was this necessary? Sure if you are trying to teach; but when we need answers fast it is not always the best policy to use. In the same regard, we must also recognize how ChatGPT is designed to work. It is built to give you answers from a variety of sources; and very quickly. It is a great tool to use within the confines of what it does well.

What ChatGPT does not do well is understand what information is most beneficial when it comes to fitness programming and nutrition. Something all my clients (and most people if you chat with me) hear is that nutrition information and studies are helpful in their own regard, and there is tons of information out there for a variety of things that have worked for a variety of circumstances and a variety of lifestyles. The key is understanding the study that was ran to get the information it presented.

For instance, we can take intermitted fasting. Outstanding to be used in the context of how the study was ran to get the health benefits we all want. Those that know how the study was ran and what number of days and hours were used can utilize this amazing tool to have wonderful physical benefits. The same is true for cold plunging, there is a temperature that the studies were done at, and that data for the benefits that occurred is derived from those specific studies. Continuing on the fasting thread, if you do not utilize the data they used to fast in the way it was intended you can see some very bad things as a result show up in your health.

Use those who can filter for you. Use the knowledgable people around you to steer and direct you to your fitness and nutrition goals. At Return 2 Sport we have outstanding knowledge of how to build a run program for virtually any goal in running. ChatGPT cannot do what Dylan and Josh can do, trust me I have asked for a run plan and a fitness plan just to see what it would recommend. There are many outstanding tools right at your fingertips.
