Summer months can make easy running not so easy and our HR zones show that. The same is true when weather starts to cool off and Zone 2 actually becomes Zone 2 again. Fitness gained throughout the summer is fitness realized in the Fall.

Muscle injuries require some reduction in load so that the body can work on the healing process without becoming further damaged. We don't want isolated rest without progression of loading because it increases re-injury risk.
